• Reminiscent of the likes of Mazzy Star and Cat Power, Caroline Hecht is recommended for the fans of dark folk with a blues chaser. Irresistibly soulful, Hecht articulates mood using her voice, warm-toned electric guitar and banjo -- the ten tracks on her debut release (Avenue of the Giants) conjure ethereal, underground spaces and a slow, flirty taste of the blues.
