≈ Over the past few years, Los Angeles group Family of the Year have begun to earn some attention with their poppy tunes, and this has landed them a deal with Vancouver's Nettwerk Records. The label recently released the band's new EP, Diversity, and you can see a video for the title track now.
≈ "Diversity" is a sprightly rock number that splits the difference between lush pastoral folk and sun-drenched power pop. As for the video, it shows the band performing on an extremely makeshift outdoor soundstage as a number of passers by come by and ransack the room, culminating in the band being stripped completely naked. Good thing they've got those instruments slung low.
