Jak postupuji při označovaní cen Tais Awards?
Postupuji takto: označuji ceny podle data/roku předávání. Osvědčilo se to. Je to v souladu s mým způsobem práce. Sledované období není omezeno daným kalendářním rokem, který předchází konkrétnímu datu předávání cen. Uveďme si příklad:
1.) 3rd Tais Awards - 2010 měl sledované období závěr roku 2008, rok 2009 a téměř úplné první 4 měsíce roku 2010. Vyhlášení výsledků a předávání cen pak proběhlo 30. dubna 2010.
Uvědomuji si, že ne všem pánbíčkářům tento systém sedí. Jejich pánbíček jsou školy, koryta v médiích, kontakty a to všechno dohromady do určité míry poskytuje jen jakýsi šepot, nástin způsobu/stavu myšlení nové vlny českého hudebního establishmentu. Ten sice formálně splňuje všechna [státní správou] stanovena kritéria pro obsazení strategických míst, kde je už možné participovat na rozhodování v oblasti medializace hudby, nemocná však není jen ta pomyslná slupka systému, pod kterým by se dalo najít zdravé jádro, celé je to prolezlé metastázemi. Napsal jsem to dost kulantně?
Cen označovaných ve světě umění a zejména pak hudby podobně, jako to dělám já, je více než jedna nebo dvě. Ty, o kterých vím, postupně zde uvedu:

Další cenou je Tony Awards, která má na Facebooku tento text: "The 2010 Tony Awards - Sunday June 13 on CBS. Get tons of photos and videos of the Tony Awards at TonyAwards.com."
U této ceny však není v obecném smyslu výslovně uveden ročník 2010, pouze pořadové číslo aktuálního ročníku. Ovšem na jedné reklamě červené barvy (Avis; rental car) je opět uveden aktuální ročník s označením 2010 Tony Awards.

The CASBY Award is a Canadian award for independent and alternative music, presented annually by Toronto, Ontario radio station CFNY. The name CASBY stands for Canadian Artists Selected By You.

For over twenty-five years, the APRA Music Awards have given songwriters and publishers that have achieved outstanding success in their fields across 12 categories, the chance to be honoured before their peers.
Nominations and winners in each category are chosen either by the voting members of APRA (in excess of 30,000 eligible voters), members of the APRA Board or APRA based statistical analysis.
The 2010 APRA Music Awards were held on Monday 21 June at the Sydney Convention Centre as part of Song Summit.

ARIA Awards
The Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (commonly known as ARIA Music Awards or ARIA Awards) is an annual series of awards nights celebrating the Australian music industry, put on by the Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA). The event has been held annually since 1987 and encompasses the general genre-specific and popular awards (these are what is usually being referred to as "the ARIA awards") as well as Fine Arts Awards and Artisan Awards (held separately from 2004), Lifetime Achievement Awards and ARIA Hall of Fame (held separately from 2005).
Winning, or even being nominated for, an ARIA award results in a lot of media attention on an artist, and usually increases recording sales several-fold (for example, in 2005, after Ben Lee won three awards, his album Awake Is the New Sleep jumped from #31 to #5 in the ARIA Charts, its highest position). However the awards are also viewed with scepticism by less mainstream artists, who see the awards an opportunity for a good party. (Tim Rogers of You Am I was once reported as keeping his awards in his outhouse toilet.)

The Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize or Gish Prize is given annually to “a man or woman who has made an outstanding contribution to the beauty of the world and to mankind’s enjoyment and understanding of life.”. It is one of the richest prizes in the American arts, for example the 2010 winner received $300,000. The founders Dorothy Gish (1898-1968) and Lillian Gish (1893-1993) were sisters, famous as actresses from the silent era of film and mid-century theatre. About the prize, established in Lillian Gish's will, she said: “It is my desire, by establishing this prize, to give recipients of the prize the recognition they deserve, to bring attention to their contributions to society and encourage others to follow in their path.” It was established in 1994 by the Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize Trust and administered by JPMorgan Chase Bank.

People's Choice Awards (doslova Ocenenie voľby ľudí) je cena za filmovú, televíznu a hudobnú tvorbu. Toto ocenenie sa udeľuje od roku 1975 a je veľmi populárne, pretože ako už názov napovedá, jednotlivých víťazov si volia bežní ľudia prostredníctvom hlasovania cez internet (od roku 2005) a nie kritici alebo odborná verejnosť. Nominovaný nie je nikto a ľudia môžu hlasovať za ktorýkoľvek televízny seriál, film, hudobnú skupinu alebo interpreta podľa vlastného výberu.
Ručne vyrobená kryštálová soška vážiaca cca 5 kg sa udeľuje približne v 40 kategóriách, ale každý rok sa to môže meniť. Vo filmovej sekcii je to najmä Obľúbený film/rodinný film/akčný film/komédia/dráma, Obľúbený herec/herečka, Obľúbený superhrdina. V televíznej sekcii sú to najmä kategórie Obľúbená televízna dráma/komédia/animovaná komédia/sci-fi seriál/reality show/talk show, Obľúbený herec/herečka. V hudobnej kategórii sú to najmä Obľúbený spevák/speváčka, Obľúbená skupina, Obľúbená pieseň rocková/popová/r&b/country/hip-hopová. Ďalej sa udeľujú aj ceny pre Obľúbeného zábavného herca/herečku, Obľúbenú online senzáciu a Obľúbené video vytvorené užívateľom.
Tridsiate piate udeľovanie cien sa uskutočnilo 7. januára 2009 a pri príležitosti tohto výročia bola udelená špeciálna cena v kategórii Obľúbená hviezda do 35 rokov, ktorú získala Carrie Underwood.
Nás zaujíma v tomto kontexte tá informácia, že People´s Choice Awards za rok 2011 má označenie roku 2011 a udeľovali sa v stredu 5. januára 2011.
