•τ• Conceived on a train through the heartland of California, “What do we long for, what will we receive?
•τ• What were we born for if not to believe?”
•τ• In 1968 there were cities in flames, and now again in 2015 . . . “My name is Michael and he shot me dead, twelve bullets in all and one to the head. With his badge and his cruiser he was just a scared kid, told me to get off the street, was that all that I did?”
•τ• “Let us sing a hymn, a song of praise or joy, it could be of religion or a frightened little boy. Alone but not forgotten I will take his hand in mine and sing a song of praise or joy to help us through this night.”
The Distance of My Fall
•τ• Inspired by the life and works of Federico Garcia Lorca.
•τ• Holocaust, genocide — then and now — like a black and white photo worn at the edges.
•τ• “We all long for reversal when the time has come, for the wrongs that we have written and all that’s left undone, and when our prayers for mercy are not to be enough we must stand for our reversal for the truth is written in muscle and bone.”
Tear Something Down
•τ• Sometimes I just want to tear something down and then put it all back together.
•τ• In love we believe the lies and if we are lucky, even when we cross the line, we find the truth.
•τ• “Citrine, birthstone for November, accomplice in an autumn crime. That bank you will remember, his eyes the color of winter in the dead of that Paris night, Citrine.”
Blow This World
•τ• “I’m gonna blow this world, leave it behind, blow it up with hope, mercy and pride. I will hold you close, just like a shiny dime. lay down beside you and rest awhile.”
•τ• “Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny.” — from the writings of Mahatma Gandhi
•τ• “Stylistically, it's hard to classify singer/songwriter Peter Gallway; his music veers from sort–of–folk to sort–of–jazz–pop to sort–of–lots–of–other–things, including a blue collar observational lyrical style inspired by Raymond Carver.” — Stereo Review
